Five 10-Minute Plays by Pete Sheldon
Saturday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.
Join us for a relaxed evening of fully staged new works featuring five ten-minute plays by playwright and MBU alum Pete Sheldon. This performance offers a first look at scripts in development, giving audiences a chance to experience the creative process in an intimate, engaging setting.
Pop-ups are short-run performances demonstrating SLTE's commitment to supporting new work and amplifying diverse artistic voices.
Peter J. Sheldon holds a BA in theatre from Virginia Tech and an MLITT and MFA in Shakespeare and Performance and Mary Baldwin UNiveristy. His play "Thanks Steve" was performed at Page to Stage Theatre in Roanoke and at Elon University it was sampled for a directing class in 2019. During the 2020 pandemic, he wrote several short works featured in Green Buffalo Productions Quarantine Quarters series.
From November to December of 2017, he was a writer in residence at Can Serrat International Arts Residency in beautiful El Bruc, Spain. Along with short stories and poems, he gave readings from his play "Dirty Old Town" at the El Bruc Literature Club.
