Instructor Zach Laliberte will guide you in the craft of improvising, as taught to him by master improv teacher Keith Johnstone. The form of improv we’ll be exploring in this class — and in performance — is called gorilla theatre: a dynamic improv form that emphasizes spontaneity, physicality, and raw creativity. Participants engage in scenes with minimal setup, relying on instinct and bold choices to drive the action forward. The name 'Gorilla Theater' reflects the primal energy and uninhibited nature of the performances, where actors unleash their inner 'gorilla' to create unforgettable moments of theater in the moment.
We’re bringing this class to adults 18+ who want to carve out time to be creative and meet other people who value the same thing. You’ll learn great acting and improv techniques that will positively influence your whole life.
