Swashbuckling Swordplay for Adults (18+) | Winter-Spring 2025
Channel your inner pirate or musketeer with this dynamic new class for adults. You’ll be introduced to the fundamentals of stage combat swordplay, focusing on safety, technique, and storytelling. Learn the art of choreographed duels using stage weapons while building confidence, coordination, and character work. Whether you're a performer, an enthusiast, or just looking for a unique way to stay active, this class will have you slashing, parrying, and leaping into action like a true swashbuckler! Class will consist of warm-up, footwork, sword drills, and choreography.
This is an open-level class — curriculum will be tailored to individual experience level. Please wear clothes you can move in and closed-toed athletic shoes. Bring a water bottle. No jewelry.
Instructor: Jeremy West (certified with the Society of American Fight Directors and British Academy of Dramatic Combat)
Thursdays from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
